A special, invitation-only intimate conversation with some of the country's leading writers, academics, organizers, and others who are associated with In These Times magazine and are thinking about the best ways that storytelling can help blunt the fascist wave and build a new democracy.
Come to this event so you can be on the ground floor as In These Times, one of the nation's leading progressive magazines for nearly 50 years, begins to transform in order to meet the current moment—and to forge ahead for another 50 years.
We look forward to you observing the conversation and then we are dedicating a substantial amount of time to meet and talk with the journalists and organizers about their ideas and plans.
This will be a small, intimate event.

Calvin John Smiley: In These Times contributor, author of Purgatory Citizenship: Reentry, Race, and Abolition, and sociology professor at Hunter-CUNY.
