Join In These Times for the second annual Fall of Freedom festival for an exhibition exploring how artists can respond to a growing authoritarian assault on free thought, solidarity and creative expression.
At a moment that calls us to assemble, create and occupy public space as a political body, the familiar repertoire of “political art” raises urgent questions: What media, forms, styles and ideas can activate political critique and political organizing today? How can artists build and sustain creative practices that resist profit laundering, prestige mining and the pressures of the marketplace?
Curated by Anna Kornbluh and David Maruzzella, the In These Times Fall of Freedom exhibition brings artists and audiences together to pose these questions—and begin answering them collectively.
Join us, in person at the In These Times offices for art, conversation and collective defiance.
